No time for shaving.

It has been said that “when it rains, it pours”. This has been true for me in the last quarter of 2019. This is when the activity in my life went from a steady shower to a deluge. If any of my readers have been wondering why the Watch Hunter blog has been so silent, I am here to let them know. The past few months have been some of the busiest I have ever experienced for my day job and freelance work. I simply have had no spare time, and almost no extra energy to devote to daydreaming on this blog. It is kinda sad really, but true.

In life, there are things that you want to do and things that you have to do. The latter often wins (if you try to be a responsible adult). This has been troubling for me because my blog is probably the one place I can write about anything that I want to, even old watches that might only interest me. The Watch Hunter blog is my identity as a watch collector.ย In light of this new reality for me, I will likely be publishing fewer articles per year. I am not giving up, but I am having to balance time.

For those who have contacted me, I appreciate all the notes and well wishes. I also appreciate all the messages and questions that I have received from my readers. I will try to answer them all in due time, but it may take a while. I have met so many wonderful people in this hobby. ย It is the stories and the connections that make this a worthwhile endeavor. Keep an eye on this space… more to come in 2020
